Johnny Pixel Productions Announces Legal Action Over Cursor Animation.

Bellevue, WA, 4/1/2012 - Johnny Pixel Productions, Inc. announced today that it will be moving forward with plans to take legal action to protect its copyright in the animation of computer display text insertion point markers, commonly called "cursors" and sometimes called "carets." Company spokeswoman April Ersten outlined a series of lawsuits that will be filed tomorrow, Monday, April 2, 2012, against publishers of popular operating systems regarding their unauthorized usage of the special cursor animation, using 4/1 interval sequence timing, in their text (a.k.a., "command line") interfaces. In addition to popular commercial operating systems publishers, Ersten clarified that major distributions of GNU/Linux would not be immune to legal action over this matter.
